Alvar Pet
Alvar Pet’s mission is to minimize dogs’ carbon pawprint – because owning a dog should not be a choice against the climate.
We calculated the carbon footprint of Alvar Pet’s first four dog food products in accordance with the Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR) for Prepared Pet Food for Cats and Dogs.
Cortex
Cortex is a Finnish expert in packaging, labeling, and machinery for the food industry. The environment is a key guiding factor in Cortex’ decisions, and the company is committed to a joint agreement between the Finnish Ministry of the Environment and the packaging industry aimed at the efficient use of packaging and materials.
UseLess has supported Cortex in calculating the carbon footprint of the entire organization, with a particular focus on scope 3 emissions.
Digia
Digia is a software and services company that combines the possibilities of technology with human capabilities to build smarter business and society, and a sustainable future. A sustainable business model and responsible way of operating are an integral part of Digia’s strategy and business success, which is why the company committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024.
UseLess supported Digia in developing a climate roadmap and helped the company in setting its SBTi targets.
Enersense
Enersense delivers essential functions for tomorrow’s society. It serves as a lifecycle partner for its clients in energy transmission and production, the industrial energy transition, and telecommunications.
In 2024, Enersense committed to setting near-term emission reduction targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) criteria. UseLess supported Enersense in identifying and evaluating the most suitable and impactful emission reduction measures for setting its SBTi targets.
Finnish Design Shop
Finnish Design Shop has developed a sustainability strategy based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, helping it identify areas for improvement and encouraging higher standards both internally and across its partner network. The company first calculated its carbon footprint in 2021 and is working toward carbon neutrality through emission reductions and carbon offsetting projects.
UseLess has calculated Finnish Design Shop’s carbon footprint over multiple years.
Framery
Framery Acoustics is a Finnish, industry-leading company that develops and manufactures soundproof phone booths and workspaces. Its products are used in 98 countries worldwide by leading global companies.
Framery measures the climate impacts of both its organization and its products extensively. UseLess has supported Framery in conducting life cycle assessments of its phone booths and workspaces and in developing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for them. In addition, carbon handprints were calculated for the booths and workspaces compared to traditional office spaces. We also developed a carbon footprint calculator for Framery, enabling the assessment and reduction of climate impacts already at the product design stage.
Hanken
Hanken is a leading, internationally accredited university with over 110 years of experience in education and research in the field of economics and business administration.
The university has calculated its carbon footprint over several years. UseLess supported Hanken in expanding its existing carbon footprint calculation and in updating the base year calculation.
HPP
HPP is an expert in the core areas of business law. Sustainability is an integral part of HPP’s values and operations, which is also reflected in its environmental efforts, for example through reducing the climate impacts of its own operations and participating in various sustainable development initiatives through its legal expertise.
UseLess has supported HPP in calculating the organization’s carbon footprint over multiple years.
Ilmastorahasto
Ilmastorahasto (The Finnish Climate Fund) sought a partner for a carbon footprint calculation project covering emissions from its own operations as well as from its investment portfolio and treasury investments. UseLess acted as Ilmastorahasto’s partner in carbon footprint calculation over several years.
Jet-Steel
Jet‑Steel manufactures products that are often used in the movement of moist air masses, heat recovery, and process dewatering. The products are always manufactured according to the customer’s drawings, requirements, and specifications.
We calculated Jet‑Steel’s carbon footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol Scope 3 Standard.
Lehtipiste
Lehtipiste is a multi-industry group that includes the card company Suomen Korttipiste and Putinki Art Oy, which focuses on crafts, Finnish design, paper products, and gifts. Lehtipiste’s vision is to be the most efficient distribution company in Finland and the preferred responsible partner for its collaborators.
Lehtipiste has trusted our collaboration for several years, for example in the calculation of the organization’s carbon footprint.
Lounea
Lounea is a Finnish fiber-optic operator with over 130 years of experience. As sustainability and sustainable development are at the core of Lounea’s strategy, the company has also committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
A strong interest in understanding its own climate impacts is clearly visible; UseLess has supported Lounea in calculating the organization’s carbon footprint over multiple years, and has also assessed the carbon footprint of the company’s cloud services.

Maria01 is a workspace and community for startups and organizations, located in central Helsinki.
UseLess has calculated Maria01’s carbon footprint multiple times and identified the most effective emission reduction measures for the community.
Onego Bio
Onego Bio produces a fully animal-free egg protein through fermentation, with an estimated climate impact that is approximately 90% lower than that of conventional eggs. In 2024, the company secured $40 million in funding to scale up production and commercialize its business.
At UseLess, we have supported Onego Bio in life cycle assessment (LCA) modeling.

Orion Pharma is a Finnish pharmaceutical company operating globally, with over a hundred years of experience in healthcare.
Orion needed a reliable and agile partner for a large-scale life cycle assessment project, which examined the environmental impacts of several of its products. UseLess acted as the company’s partner in this project.

Osuuskunta Tradeka (Cooperative Tradeka) is a modern cooperative enterprise and a significant owner in several Finnish companies. Its mission is to be a forerunner in responsibility, creating value simultaneously for its more than 200,000 members and for the surrounding society. With over a hundred years of history, the cooperative’s guiding principle is meaningful ownership and the promotion of a more humane market economy.
Tradeka has relied on our collaboration for several years, including in the calculation of the Cooperative’s carbon footprint.

Pontos Group is a Finnish family-owned investment company and active owner that develops its portfolio companies and aims to transform the real estate sector through technology. In addition to real estate, the company invests in growth companies and private equity funds.
UseLess has supported Pontos Group in both the Group’s carbon footprint calculation and the development of a climate roadmap.
Relais Group
Relais Group is a leading consolidator and acquisition platform in the vehicle aftermarket in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The company focuses on improving the efficiency of the vehicle lifecycle and related services.
As a listed company, Relais is part of the first group of companies subject to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). UseLess has supported the company in meeting its reporting requirements, for example by calculating the Group’s carbon footprint.

Restel is a leading restaurant group in Finland, as well as the country’s largest provider of restaurant services, with a network of around 200 restaurants nationwide. Environmental and social responsibility, as well as transparency in operations, are core values for Restel.
UseLess has acted as Restel’s partner in carbon footprint calculation for several years.
Saalasti
Saalasti is a nearly 80-year-old family-owned company that manufactures equipment for biomass processing.
We calculated both Saalasti’s organizational carbon footprint and the carbon handprint of the HIPPO 1803 high-pressure screw press, which reflects the product’s positive climate impacts compared to standard solutions on the market.
Solita
Solita is a technology company specializing in data and AI. Corporate responsibility plays a central role in Solita’s operations, including helping its clients become more environmentally sustainable.
The collaboration between Solita and UseLess began with an assessment of a previously conducted organizational carbon footprint calculation. Following a successful project, Solita entrusted us with its annual carbon footprint calculation and year-on-year analysis. In addition, we have supported Solita in setting its SBTi targets, which were approved in autumn 2024.
Suomi-Tikas
Suomi-Tikas is a Finnish, family-owned metal industry company with over 40 years of history, now operating in its third generation under the Peltola family.
Suomi-Tikas needed our support in calculating both the carbon footprint and carbon handprint of the Harmo Crate, part of the Harmo product family. The project was particularly interesting due to the innovative raw materials used in the product, including wood-based biocomposite (UPM EcoAce WB50) and wood-based plastic (Woodly).
Takuusäätiö
Takuusäätiö (the Guarantee Fund) is a nationwide social sector organization that promotes financial literacy, supports people facing financial difficulties, and influences structural change.
Takuusäätiö wanted to understand what the carbon footprint of everyday living consists of and how large it is when consumption is kept to a reasonable minimum. We developed a carbon footprint calculator for the Rahat riittää project by Takuusäätiö and the Martha Association, enabling a high-level assessment of the carbon footprint of moderate minimum consumption across different aspects of life.
Tammiholma
Tammiholma imports construction and cleaning machinery, workplace environment products, as well as bathroom furniture and interior products. The company is committed to conserving natural resources and increasing its positive environmental impact, which is why it has been awarded the EcoCompass certificate.
In collaboration with UseLess, Tammiholma has calculated the company’s carbon footprint.
Tesi
Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment Ltd) is Finland’s state-owned private equity and venture capital company, with an industrial policy mission focused on driving economic growth, renewal, and investment.
UseLess has supported Tesi in scope 3 carbon footprint calculations as well as in assessing emissions related to its investments.
Virta
Virta is Europe’s fastest-growing electric vehicle charging platform, operating in more than 35 countries. Its mission is to combat climate change by integrating electric mobility into everyday life and the energy system.
