OUR STORY IN SHORT

From research to supporting organizations in climate and environmental work

The story of UseLess began when, at the beginning of 2018, a research idea focused on reducing consumption evolved into a product concept with business potential. Behind this was growing frustration that the research being conducted was not finding its way into practice. Ultimately, UseLess Company was founded by six researchers, one of whom – our CEO Maija – decided to leave her research career and become an entrepreneur.

Over time, the company’s focus has evolved from supporting individual lifestyle changes to supporting organizations in their climate and environmental work. What has remained constant is a strong commitment to science- and fact-based approaches and a high standard of integrity. At the same time, the company has embraced the agility and speed of a startup, along with a strong desire to understand clients and develop services that solve real-world challenges in everyday business. In addition, an exceptional group of professionals has joined the team, helping to drive our work forward. We see ourselves as a company that uniquely combines the strengths of the research world with the realities of business.
