PLAN & COMMIT
Cost-effective emission reduction plan keeps the future open
A poorly designed model and the plan built on it create long-term codts. Our cost‑efficient emission reduction plan helps you determine the optimal timing for implementing measures, minimizing greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring that your annual emission reduction budget is not exceeded.
FOR WHOM AND WHEN
Are you in the right place?
If your customers, owners, or financiers require emission reduction targets but your available resources are limited, you’re in the right place. We help identify and schedule measures that are both impactful for your business and realistically achievable, maximizing emission reduction potential without overextending your resources.
Measures that deliver real impact
There are many types of emission reduction measures, but which ones actually work? We work with you to design effective actions that are used to optimize your emission reduction plan.
A plan that doesn’t break the bank
The plan maximizes emission reductions within your available budget. We provide a resource‑aware implementation timeline for the recommended emission reduction measures.
A results view that drives business decisions
Not just modeling – we make the results clear and presentation-ready to support decision-making, help prioritize actions, and turn insights into practical business measures.
Process
Three steps
STEP 1
Definition
We work together with you to define the potential emission reduction measures for the modeling, as well as the annual budget available for implementing these measures.
Step 2
Modeling
We use different time horizons and budget scenarios as the basis for the optimization, allowing your organization to understand how these variables impact the recommended action plan.
Step 3
Results
You will have access to a dashboard that visualizes how the selected measures, budget, and timeline impact your organization’s greenhouse gas emissions and annual costs.
Our foundation
GHG PROTOCOL SBTi ESRS E1 VSME
Our calculations are based on scientific assumptions and a systematic assessment of both the impacts and costs of measures. The results can be used to prioritize emission reduction actions, develop a cost-efficient transition plan, and support sustainability reporting in accordance with ESRS E1 and VSME.
Frequently asked questions about this service
Not all emission reduction measures cost the same. A cost-effective approach ensures that investments deliver the greatest possible climate impact relative to their cost.
Cost-effectiveness is assessed by comparing the cost of a measure to the emission reduction achieved (e.g. €/tCO₂e), allowing different options to be ranked and prioritized accordingly.
Developing the plan typically takes from a few weeks to a couple of months. Based on the plan, implementation of measures can begin in phases across both the short and long term.
Yes. It is recommended to update the plan regularly to ensure it remains aligned with changes in business operations, technological developments, and evolving climate targets.
NEXT STEP
Beyond climate intentions
A cost-effective emission reduction plan makes the impact of measures visible in relation to available resources and enables their prioritization. For many of our clients, the natural next step is to translate these actions into a climate roadmap, commit to targets through a climate commitment, and track progress using an SBTi Progress Tracker tool.
