      Our modeling is based on scientific assumptions as well as internationally developed emission reduction measures and targets. The results can be used, for example, for setting SBTi targets or for sustainability reporting in accordance with ESRS E1 and VSME.

      Emission reduction measure calculation estimates how much individual actions, such as energy solutions, procurement choices, or changes in operating practices, can reduce a company’s emissions. It helps identify the most effective ways to achieve emission reductions in practice.

      The modeling of emission reduction measures is always a forward-looking estimate and therefore involves inherent uncertainties. The level of accuracy depends on both the data used and the type of measure. Energy-related solutions can often be estimated quite precisely, whereas scope 3 emission reductions typically rely more on assumptions about market developments. All assumptions are made transparently.

      The modeling is always based on the organization’s carbon footprint calculation. It can also be carried out using a high-level estimate – however, the more detailed the underlying calculation, the more accurate the results of the modeling will be.

      Absolutely. Missing data can be supplemented with assumptions, for example based on literature or industry averages. The key is to identify uncertainties and document them transparently.

      The calculation brings clarity and concreteness to decision-making: how much emissions can be reduced and on what timeline. This makes choices more transparent and justified, supporting strategic decision-making.

      Yes. The results can be used, for example, in sustainability reporting in accordance with ESRS or VSME, as well as in tracking the company’s own climate targets. Reporting requirements can always be taken into account in the project design.
